Choosing the name of your blog is another one of the things that you will need to know before you create your blog. It is so important because it has to reflect you and your life. It truly is the first step to starting your blog. I wrestled with the name of this blog for a while. I knew I wanted the name to be something catchy but also something that would relate back my content.
So, after attending a blogger course by Connie Gomez mommaofdos.com which whom I would now consider her a mentor, I was ready to start and thought I had my name chosen. I chose the name “mommy all over again” I really liked it and it fit my experience. I moved forward with starting up my blog. I had so many questions and Connie was so gracious, she helped me so much. When I was ready to buy my domain name, I started to have doubts about my blog name. I had a few blog names in mind that I had to make sure were not already being used.
Finally, I came up with Learning life with Liz, I asked my husband which one he thought was best and he chose Learning life with Liz as well. My husband and daughter said Learning life with Liz suited me best because I am constantly trying to learn or do something new in life and just in general. I am wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend. I take care of the family, home, finances as well as work part time, much like many of us wives and mothers do. Although “mommy all over again” was good, I think the name was only for a season in my life and learning, well, we all do that on a regular basis.
I will be writing about becoming a mom all over again soon, I believe it still is and was and a very important season in my life that helped to mold me who I am today. So, here I am right along with you, learning and growing everyday. If you think about it, we all learn something new everyday, you just have to keep your eyes and ears open to recognize it.
The truth is I believe the Holy Spirit was giving me discernment over the name of this blog, he knew “mommy all over again” wasn’t all who I was, there was more to me. That is all I kept hearing in my spirit. “You are more.” When I think about the many times the Holy Spirit has guided me, I get overwhelmed and I know there is nothing I can do but give God all the glory and praise.
I am constantly seeking God for his guidance, discernment and will for my life. I honestly do not know how I made it through life before I really knew Jesus. I always knew there was a God, but I never had a relationship with Jesus and now I do not know how to live daily life without him.
